The towel hooks came from Ikea - I loved their rattan vibe and helped pull a bit of tropical beachy feel to the space. The umbra wall flowers were a long ago DIY and have floated through many rooms in the house - hopefully they will stay here for a while. The other heart print (Minted) and the mermaid (Rifle Paper Co.) were both purchased at Chapters. The matting in the Ikea frames wasn't really working so a quick brush-over with the water colours and voila! I will definitely be doing this again and wonder why I've never done it before!
Hubs and I collected the sand dollars ages ago on our first babymoon so putting them into the girls' bathroom seemed appropriate. It was a quick DIY project to make this beachy vibed addition. I used a twine netting I had, folded it over a piece of yellow card-stock, hot glued the sand dollars, and put them into a frame with the glass removed. I think without interruptions (because there's always interruptions), it took me all of five minutes to do this project.
I don't know if anyone else in the house does but I smile at this room being complete - and all it really took was some art! You can't see it in the photos but we've kept the mirror low for shorties - as the girls grow we will raise it up to standard height. And.. if you're ever ever doing a bathroom with kids - splurge on that slide bar. I can't tell you how much I love mine for sandy feet, washing hair, and to make clean up a breeze.
