This is one of those spaces that really showcases how small changes can make a positive impact. Flipping mom's seating area so she enjoys the gallery wall rather than the toys, adding some simple yet effective window treatments, and tucking away toys make the room feel more open and inviting for both parents and children. The only thing that was removed from this room was the large red plastic bin - but those toys are now in the black bins under the window.
I really love working with what clients have and making existing pieces work in their updated spaces. We don't all have the budget for brand new everything - but in this case I did make mom splurge a little and get herself a reading corner she could enjoy. We spend so much energy on our kids having a zone to recharge our batteries makes us better humans and better parents. See more of the room here - and go find yourself a spot in your house to take five.
